On The RockIt Scientist on Mix93.8fm tonight (between 8pm and midnight), interview with great SA band NOVA RISE (previously The CHRISTIAN HEATH BAND), one of the excellent bands I saw at the Harley Davidson Africa Bike Week recently. Special feature on (The) Alan Bown (Set), tracking their poppy/psych sixties era, to their kick ass brass rock period in the early 70′s. Some big names were in this excellent UK outfit, from Jess Roden to Robert Palmer, and John Anthony Helliwell (he was an early member of Supertramp), not to mention trumpet player Alan Bown (later to join Jonesy). Unfortunately, as all telephone lines are down in the studio due to construction in the building where the studios are relocated, there will be no streaming, Facebook or internet! Apologies for this, but it is completely out of our control. Without wanting to pass the buck, you can blame TELKOM, because it really is their fault!! The Show Must Go On

If you’re bored, and are not doing anything, and feel like listening to a bit of blues, a bit of rock, a bit of metal, a bit of prog, and a feature on UK blues/rock legends STEAMHAMMER, then tune in to The RockIt Scientist on Mix93.8fm TONIGHT (Friday) between 8pm and midnight. Off The Air

Due to construction work on the building in which the Mix 93.8fm studios are located, all shows will be suspended (regular daytime and evening Rockfest shows) for a few days, or until further notice!! Electricity and telephone lines have been affected, and this in turn has affected the quality of the broadcasts going out. I will know late tomorrow if my show will go out tomorrow night, or not. Apologies for this break in broadcasting, but it’s out of the station’s control. It will all be worth the wait, though, so don’t give up on us just yet!!! Thanks in advance for understanding!!
